Because I know he wont answer the question....because I'm sure he gets paid pretty well...even though he thinks (as many Union employees do) that he's underpaid.

Ask someone that believes in trickle down economics.

Here's there description of my job according to u.p.:

            Salary: $17.50 per hour

            Basic Purpose of Job:

Assist in the installation, and repair of various railroad signals and grade crossing warning devices. Physical duties require the ability to do the following: make quick and accurate movements; maintain exact and steady arm/hand positioning movements; perform a rapid, horizontal hand torque action; lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25 lbs. (frequently), 50 lbs. (occasionally) and 75 lbs. (infrequently); climb poles, ladders and large structures and maintain balance while working on equipment (occasionally); dig holes and trenches; set poles; sweep between rails and switches; lift and maneuver heavy objects overhead (infrequently); walk for varied distances on uneven terrain (typically 3-5 miles per week); maintain muscular exertion over time; perform occasional overhead work for short periods of time; perform occasional bending, stooping and kneeling; and stand for more than half of a work day with break periods.

Here's further explanation of my job too:
installs, maintains and dismantles signal structures and components such as foundations, equipment housing, cable and switches; digs, fills and tamps holes and trenches; climbs poles and ladders; operates non-power hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, files, wrenches, pliers, shovels, picks, axes, cutters and sledgehammers; operates manual machinery equipment; and unreels and installs wires and cables overhead and underground. An Assistant Signalman must be able to work in all weather conditions and up to 12 hours per day. Candidates must also be able to remain standing for more than half of the work day with periodic breaks.

On top of that, I operate machinery, drive a truck (cdl).....

Trickle down economics worked so well in the 80s and Reagan isn't remembered for ONE economic thing, great speaker. he beat communism by outspending them......Great economic man there.

Care to tell me your background and education; you are not arguing with a moron here.

Quite right. Especially if your job went away, and now you have to drive a long way to your job with gas at $4/gal, because no one is willing to buy your home for enough to keep you from being underwater......

It doesn't help that Congressmen and Senators have forgotten what it means to have to work hourly for a living.

And you're underpaid...welcome to so many other Union workers feelings while you still make more than the vast majority of the people I've worked with and around.
You already stuck you foot in your mouth by admitting you consider yourself underpaid. The Union slogan..."Less work, more money." Oh yeah boo hoo they want you to do more than is required of you. You spew all the typical Union rhetoric.

Not going to miss you. It makes it easy when you admit the very thing I'm pointing out. Whiny ass Union workers who have zero perspective. Fuck the company, what can I get out of this deal.

First off, I'm following the agreement agreed upon by the company, I didn't negotiate my job description and details. I show up and do what's told and the second I do something that is not in an agreement, I get sent home. I don't do something my supervisor tells me to do, I go home. Who's at fault, must be the unions fault.

Go ahead and attack my education, let me ask what your degree in? What do you make a year? What's your work experience. I've answered everything you want to spit at me. I have a BS in Agriculture Technology Management and Education from The University of Arizona; wanna find fault in that degree or school too?

Did you go to public school, then it was funded by tax payers(damn the government makes it a requirement for children to attend school). I went a land grant university funded by tax dollars (abe lincoln was an asshole for setting up land grant schools, right?). My education was paid for by taking out loans from sallie mae funded by tax dollars (asshole government wanting me to get an education). By your own standards I'm a piece of shit then, right because I used what our country provides to people who apply for those things and uses them correctly right. I work my ass off for Union Pacific who made 8 BILLION dollars last year in profit, there stock is trading around 100 a share and is going to split soon and in the last 100 years has never failed to make profit. I highly doubt I'm the one with a bad attitude wanting to get paid more so I can pay back my student loans early and qualify for a government controlled mortgage. I must be a lazy union worker who is ruining this country; Joshh you win. I've seen the light.
