    China a military threat?

China has a new aircraft carrier, new subs, and new stealth bombers... Why now, they have no threat from any other country, why the sudden bulk in defense? Is there something going we don't know about?

If your country was growing at such a rate, wouldn't you grow your military too?

I guess you have a point. I just think it's all so sudden, they already hate the u.s. They have already banned all American tv shows. They also don't want any American basketball players to play there if the NBA continue's there lock out... Just seems to me, that we should keep an eye on these guys... Just saying

Oh agreed they are dangerous, no doubt. But the stand to do more harm from dumping the US treasuries they hold, than playing in the big boy sand box on a global military scale. I would not want to fuck with them on a regional level though. Korean conflict was one hell of an example of that .

China has always been a force to be reckoned with, this new technology will have just made it more of a topic for the news to discuss. Their financial success is allowing growth in other areas, good for them.

As of the 1st of this year they hold over a 1/3 of foreign held treasuries, 36% or 1.6 TRILLION dollars we OWE china plus interest. Which works out to something like 18% of the public debt over all.

They dump those on to the market its going to decrees the value of the green back and likely other foreign holders will follow suit and then WHooppppieeee massive Inflation
