there is near-parity in the graph since 1950. per the article you linked, that would be because around that time, we figured out a better technique for measuring the data we record. i'm not seeing a problem with this; it is part of the scientific process. kind of like how the hubble can see a little further than galileo's telescope did.

Man-made climate change IS a thing. Do we need to immediately stop burning fossil fuels... no. But we need to at least admit it's happening and come up with a course of action. Burying heads in the sand only benefits those in the fossil fuel industries, municipal electric companies, and the politicians who receive donations/incomes from the previously mentioned.
