Of course I'm insane because you can't see that Obama is doing a Mitt Romney here. "Mitt do you still support Romney care?" "Of course I do...errr no, no I don't because it's not popular but not because I agree with the voters. I have to agree to get some extra votes. Damned voters." -not a real quote of course.
    Same shit different person.
In other words. He's not doing this because he feels it's right. He's doing it because he needs to look nicer. Another false front from Obama. Do you look at the character of the person or just the words exiting their mouths?
I'll send you some coffee if your your ready to wake the fuck up.

If Bush said he was against the Patriot Act would you believe him?

I think the regulations in themselves are bullshit but then again they should be raping companies like Comcast because they have artificially created regional/local monopolies.
actually, this is a big part of the problem. They THINK it is no different, but in reality the stranglehold they have on broadcast regulations for what goes over cable just plain doesn't apply online. Half the crap they keep lobbying to our congress is basically trying to shoe-horn the net into being a broadcast medium that they can keep under thier thumb, they just don't want to adapt.

There are a couple of good things in Net Neutrality but when you look up "Net Neutrality" along with "The Fairness Doctrine" you get a much bigger picture of what the plan may be with this push by Obama and the FCC.

And let's add in the fact Net Neutrality was never passed by Congress from the start. A 100% violation of the Constitution.

Obama is just loving this because it sounds so nice...and *neutral*. More control is what he got/wanted and it was so easy.

In the big picture Obama can't do shit about the internet; unlike his legislative power, it spans every country in the world. Good luck imposing restrictions on servers hosted in Sweden, for example.

Is he? Our stance from the start has been against other countries trying to censor and restrict the internet, meanwhile lobbyists over here are trying to do the same thing. And it would be very difficult to get anything like that to work, because we CAN just route to a server physically located somewhere safe.

Now if you don't think the United States Military under the command of the US Government can not shut down the internet coming in and out of the United States you are a fool. For the little guys outside of ATT Sprint etc... they most certainly can JAM most other ISP's. The government is fully aware of the power of the internet and under attack will remove all connection to the net to gain superiority.

Yes... of course they can shut down the US. That's exactly what I said. What is the military going to do, EMP the rest of the world? I hope you realize there are equally huge ISP's in the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, etc etc. Yes there is a large amount of content hosted out of the US, but if they're off the grid it hardly shuts down the rest of the world.

If there was an sustained attack on American soil, the gov would shut down the net in a second. They know the enemy would be scouring twitter to find tweets about tanks in the streets and people saying there are soldiers in their yards against the millitary. They dont want citizens giving the baddies a play by play.

I'd be afraid to find out how many Americans would buy that one.

Sorry, it just sounds like you have a fundamental misunderstanding as to what net neutrality is, or you can't articulate your point very well.
