The same thing happenned last year in this same community. A guys trailer caught on fire, he didn't pay the $75 fee, and it burnt to the ground. You would think the people in the neighborhood would have seen this and everyone signed up for the fire protection.
With that, the township could very well have been sued by the guys' trailer that burnt down last year had the fire department responded and put this fire out. Therefore in order to cover their a*s they couldn't put this fire out.www.truegearhead.com

WHY should they be charged a fee on top of their PROPERTY TAXES that are accessed just for the purpose of providing such services???????
While in general I agree you need to pay for the services you wish to have and if you decline well tough titties. If you do the research you'll see that they live outside of the city the Fire department serves. Their property taxes aren't funding the Fire Department. The Fire Department is funded entirely by the municipality, not through county or state property/income taxes.www.truegearhead.com
