I am glad that Newt beat Mitt tonight. It will prolong the extreme awkwardness of the Romney campaign. I certainly wouldn't hire a guy who can't answer a question without sweating and changing his answer each time. It's just not trustworthy or inspiring. Obama isn't the messiah, but he has been a relief after 'W'. Thanks for caring about him though. Four more years. I still have the Obama poster up that you and Steve noted...

I normally stay out of political pissing matches. Personally, they are all a bunch of crooks. However, I could not resist responding to a fact that was posted on here and I have seen popping up all over the place.

The top 10% pay 75% of the income taxes............don't hear you complaining about that?

Fact taken from a UCSC study: The top 20% of Americans controlled 93% of the net worth in this country. (http://www.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html)

There have been mady studies conducted over this issue, in the end numbers are numbers. The top 10% pay 75% of all income tax because they control a similar percentage of the wealth available in this country. We use the wealth statistic because at that level you dont always accept taxable forms of income as a payment.

In short, no I'm not complaining about them paying 75% of the income taxes because they should. In my opinion income taxes should be abolished in lieu of a federal sales tax. No need for an IRS, no one cheats on their tax, and you are taxed on what you spend not what you make.
