The GOP candidates budget plans would increase the deficit.

A new report from a bipartisan group warns that with the exception of Ron Paul's plan, the GOP candidates' economic proposals would likely worsen the nation's debt problem. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget also says the candidates need to spell out specific cuts rather than offering vague targets.

    Cliff notes:

So far what we have is four candidates who are all serious about cutting spending, but are also very serious about cutting taxes," says Maya MacGuineas, president of the bipartisan organization. "And in most cases they would cut taxes by more than their spending cuts, which would make the overall deficit situation worse."

The lone exception is Texas Rep. Ron Paul, whose plans would actually shrink the debt by more than $2 trillion over the next decade.
10-Year Debt Impact of the Candidates' Plans in Billions (Intermediate-Debt Scenario)
    .....................................Gingrich..... ....Paul........Romney.....Santorum
    Tax Policies.....................$7,100..........$5,20 0.....$1,350.........$6,050
    Spending Policies..............-$2,700 ......-$7,500.....-$1,200 .......-$2,250
    Cross-Cutting Policies.........$1,700.......$400........... $70............$70
    Interest on the Debt...........$900.........-$300............$50..........$640

    Total Debt Impact (billions)..$7,000 ......-$2,200.........$250........$4,500
    Total Debt Impact (% of GDP).30% ..........-9% ...........1%...........19%

Debt as a Share of GDP in 2021..114%.......76%..........86%..........104%
So I guess this is what the GOP means by fiscal conservatism?

In regards to The Messiah, his plan is to take all the good people up to Heaven on December 21, 2012 when the world ends, and take his place at the right hand of the Father. This would likely nullify any other plans.

In the rare event this doesn't come to fruition, I was curious to see what President Barack Obama's plan would look like, and found this:

"The core of the president's plan totals just over $2 trillion in deficit reduction over 10 years. It would let Bush-era tax cuts for upper income earners expire, limit deductions for wealthier filers and close loopholes and end some corporate tax breaks. It also would trim mandatory programs, including Medicare. And it would target subsidies for farmers and retirement benefits for federal employees."

          "Key features of Obama's plan:

_$1.5 trillion in new revenue, which would include about $800 billion over 10 years from repealing the Bush-era tax rates for couples making more than $250,000. It also would place limits on deductions for wealthy filers and end certain corporate loopholes and subsidies for oil and gas companies.

_$580 billion in cuts in mandatory benefit programs, including $248 billion in Medicare and $72 billion in Medicaid and other health programs. Other mandatory benefit programs include farm subsidies and federal employee retirement benefits. The plan would reduce federal workers' paychecks by 1.2 percent over three years, saving the government about $21 billion over 10 years.

_$430 billion in savings from lower interest payment on the national debt
          ."

                Same here.

But as far as the presidential election, my vote literally doesn't matter. OK was the "reddest" state in the Union last time, every single county went to McCain.

So I could vote for Obama and it wouldn't matter.

I just wanted to make sure before I insulted your reading comprehension.

I'll break it down for you, I said Paul is the only GOP candidate I like. However, it doesn't matter who I vote for, OK will go to whomever the GOP candidate is, reference the 2008 election where every county went to McCain.

Nowhere in my statement did I say I liked Obama.

That said your right any 0 votes especialy in the bible town of tulsa are going to be nothing but blue dot in a sea of red. Sad thing its those single issue voters that are going to be pushing Sanitarium (yes that is purposefully misspelled as thats where the bible thumper belongs) to get the nod from the party. I refuse to vote for him or mitten or the 0. They really are all one in the same the end game will be the same.

When comparing the budget plans Paul is the most conservatiive, then Obama, then the rest. Now, plans vs. real life and dealing with a shitty congress is a different story.
