I have to appear somewhat moderate on at least one issue; that's how you play politics. And Operation F&F is a hot button issue right now. The goal was to appease everyone on this.
I see. I suppose appeasement has it's place. I'm all for "peace in our time". I would suggest abolishing the BATFE. Reagan wanted to, back when it was just the BATF, I've read it wasn't done because the FBI refused to accept the displaced agents.
