My point is the ease of access to all kinds of guns in America is likely a major contributing factor to the amount of violence resulting in death, it's hard to kill 16 people if all you have is a knife. If all those innocent lives could've been spared would you give up your weapons? Assuming all the risk (which is a byproduct of the amount of guns IMO) would you give up your guns?

No I wouldn't give up my guns. Besides, crazy nut cases WILL find their guns some way or another. He was on a mission, so gun regulation couldn't have stopped him in any way. More guns equates to less violence actually. Criminals only attack when they know they aren't in harms way, if everyone was loaded, criminals would be less likely to execute their plans.

I think this guy has an agenda and this is his way of getting attention.

- He is rather smart. He was aiming to get his Ph.D in Neuroscience at CU Boulder.

- When the police caught up to him he gave in without a fight. That shows he obviously wants to say something. Court will give him that chance since it will be a nationally covered event.

- I think he chose "The Dark Knight Rises" for more than the fact that it would be very crowded and hard to evacuate. The title, "The Dark Knight Rises," might allude to his intentions, if he is delusional and considers himself a "Dark Knight."

3:15: Press conference: Gas released, gunman opened fire. Only know of one gunman. Police officers respond, find the gunman outside of the theater, carrying gas mask, rifle, handgun. One additional weapon found inside. 50 were hit. 14 confirmed dead.

Then emergency intercom came on say there was a situation and we need to evacuate immediately. Honestly to end the gun debate, if all firearms were illegal in the US then there would probably be alot less of these events yes. But if there are no gun's, there are no hunters, there are too many animals, then comes disease, do you really want the government spending more money regulating animal population? Both these shootings in Toronto were gang related, bystanders were unfourtunately cought up in it, and with is a little different than the Colorado incident.

I hate any type of violent crime, especially ones involving firearms.
