a teacher's job is supposed to educate the students with books and tools that they have acquired from their own personal experience on the subject. that does not mean bring in their own views on religion, politics, or anything else irrelevant from the topic being taught. books teach that stuff, which is why most educate about people such as hitler, stalin, martin luther king jr, etc.


absolutely, but the teacher has no right in convincing students about their own personal believes. obviously if someone is being harassed, that is a different story but a teach should keep their believes and political views out of the damn classroom.

I agree that personal and political viewpoints should stay out of the classroom, but where do we draw the line? Are we really not allowed to tell kids it's ok to be gay? Seriously?

Wasn't my point. I forgot at this point but IIRC someone was complaining that teachers were being too feel-good telling kids to accept who they are etc.

this is because the public school system is instilling each and every student that being gay is perfectly fine when in reality that shouldn't be a subject that is taught in school. teachers need to focus on doing their jobs and not bring their political and or religious beliefs into the lives of other students.

I see, was curious. I more fall towards your opinion, in that it isn't something that should be discouraged per say. But for me, it's just something that needn't, nor should, be brought up in that setting. It's not a teachers job to comment, discourage or encourage something like that.

In the sense that both are born with a messed up brain structure? Yes. Yes I am. I believe Cliche said so himself(not my view, that they are born with different brain structure than the average person). How is that a lack of respect? It's an observational fact in that both have different brain structures.

Since when does different = messed up? That fact that you don't respect differences makes you an asshole.

Left-handed people are also born the way they are and function differently, and people can learn to switch hit, and some parents are even so cracked out that they teach them to be right... but that doesn't mean they should or it is the correct thing to do.

The biggest mistake with people trying to "fix" a gay person is that they assume it is a problem to be fixed in the first place. Until you realize that, you're an awful person in my opinion.

I do respect differences, hence why I said earlier; while I think it is wholly wrong, it is not something that people should push on another person to "fix" themselves. But you'll probably ignore that again, so I'm sorry you see me as a terrible person, just as I am, as well as you and everyone else on this earth is.
