Not everyone, surely, but the clear trend is towards a consensus supporting gay marriage. Similar to slavery, woman's suffrage, and segregation, the vast majority of Americans will look back on this ridiculous argument and be ashamed that it was ever an issue.

I hardly think wikipedia is a credible source of information.

It is a teacher's job to ensure that their students are not harassed. Part of that is preventing harassment based on sexual orientation. Surely you aren't suggesting that teachers should sit back while kids make fun of the gay kid or the kid with the gay parents, or that there actually is something wrong with being gay? I'm not trying to read something into your post that you don't mean, but that's what I'm getting out of it.

the only reason non-hetero's want to use the word is the societal acceptance it implies. they are still desperate for validation, no matter how much that motive is denied.
I can't stand this horrifically uncompassionate argument. They aren't desperate for validation, you self-righteous prick, they're tired of being treated like second rate citizens.

Think of it like this. When you patronize an establishment you not only receive their product but you support them with your small contribution to their revenue. That's why people will support their local businesses by shopping at their store, because they want to keep them open. And that's why I won't eat at CFA, because I don't think their food is good enough to warrant my money being put towards their bigoted agenda.

Really? Their food seemed outstanding for fast food. Chicken was not greasy and was real cuts of chicken unlike McD. I honestly enjoyed their food and I never eat fast food.

I am also a Christian but I believe they are Mormons or something. I think it is outstanding in this shock proof world we have now, that they still stand up for their beliefs. What good is a person if they don't stand fast in their word? Don't like it don't eat there, go drown yourself in Oreos or whatever gay pride supporting thing you wish to back. Not calling you out as homosexual supporter. I myself don't believe it is right, and will stand firmly in my beliefs. that does not mean I stop buying Oreos, or other products that support gay marriage. This will not hurt the Company at all, they could pull out of Boston and still pound out insane profits. I have NEVER in my life seen a place that serves fast food more packed. Well made food and EXCELLENT service, they are going to be just fine. Just retarded that some wind bag gets upset and starts a whirl wind effect to hinder their business.

You think homosexuality is wrong because an invisible man in the sky said so a few thousand years ago. That is not a justifiable reason to discriminate against a significant portion of the population.

You're quite funny, but it is clear by how much you defend homosexuality that it is a big part of your life. Whatever floats your boat, I just enjoy a nice pink slide and a firm rack. Enjoy the angry dragons ;)

Just saying, comparing this to the laws of segregation and marriage of earlier years is such a unrelated shot in the dark. That was a misconception, a vulgar idea that crept into the minds of a nation, and as we see now, there are/ were no issues with interracial marrying. That's obvious. But this? It doesn't work. Forget God, god, gods, mormans, Christians, whatever, and look to nature. It doesn't even make sense there. If everyone had been "born" gay? There would be no people around today. No, before somebody calls me a bigot or anything else, I do not agree with the hating of/ protesting/ name calling and what ever else of gays. That's not how you approach it, and you don't try to cram your ideals down their throats( ).

Nah, I just can't stand intolerance and ignorance. Very rarely will I refer to a position I disagree with in insulting terms, but in this scenario it's j
                            justified.

What is the intent of these sentences? Are you asserting the homosexuality is a choice?

Having met various people who said they willingly changed orientation, yes. Yes I am. Is it always? Not necessarily. I completely believe people can be born attracted to the opposite sex. Just as we disagree on what cars we find cool, or good looking. What does having a choice have anything to do with anything?

As I said, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get out of me by asking that question. I don't believe it's right, but to say that mocking or discriminating against a gay or lesbian person because of what they do is right, is ridiculous. I can and will admit that I am still uncomfortable at certain times around gay people, but I can still interact with them just as I would a "normal" person.
