1. How would the D's not put the tax burden on the middle class? The "tax the rich" sentiment is bullshit. If you took 100% of the top 1% income, you STILL WOULD NOT COVER CURRENT SPENDING LEVELS.

There HAS to be a spending reduction. Period. And to pay off the debt we need to increase taxes or overhaul the tax code.

I decided to become a Liberal for a moment..I said.."LET'S MAKE THE RICH PAY FOR MEDICARE" After all, Medicare is currently underfunded by $24.4 trillion.

So I propose we increase taxes on the richest Americans, the so-called 1%!!! Let's increase taxes on them by 50%!!!!!!!!! That will get us, wait this can't be right, if we increase taxes on the richest Americans by 50% we would collect an additional $900 billion dollars?

$900Billion is 3.6% of $24.4 trillion. So we take roughly 90% of the top 1%'s money and that eats away 3.6% of just our Medicare debt?

Oh yeah, Liberalism doesn't work.
