Politics as usual, indeed. I wish the right had a better candidate, as I am not a fan of Romney. My vote will be based on who I feel loves America more, O or R. I may just vote for Ron Paul...

The only relevant thing in this post is his stance on gay marriage, and if you're honest with yourself you'll acknowledge that his change wasn't a big surprise. Consider for a second his previous stated position, that he supports civil unions and that the states should be left to decide. That's all it was. I'm pretty damn happy that he finally stood up for equality.
I am not at all surprised at Obama's current stance on Gay marriage. If you are honest with yourself, you should be displeased that he used this for political leverage. He did not stand by his convictions from the getgo. But that is nothing new. Political expedience. It is very crowded under the Obama bus.

Believe it or not, if Obama had indeed stood up for his convictions I would have probably voted for him.

I mean, the 30mpg minimum is a heck of a step in the right direction if not the yellow brick road to reducing our dependency on foreign oil

first time home buyers tax credit?

    healthcare?

I don't understand, it seems like in addition to shortcomings things have also happened in this administration

support who you'd like, for the reasons you'd like. but, I mean, things have happened in the past few years.
