the value of the dollar does affect the the buying power of purchasing crude oil. Thus does affect indirectly the cost of gas over a longer period. The gov also can open the national reserves to help control oil prices for a short time.

Only previously you wanted to say that dropping dollar value, which hasn't really happened, was the primary influence on the rising gas prices and largely ignored demand that I chiefly talked about. You have since learned that again you spout bullshit and changed your tune, although still "state" mIsleading data points, and now upset that people think you are saying the administration is directly to blame for gas prices again. You cant blame people for thinking you are repeating your past arguments. Do you forget all the stuff Fox News has told you to think and that you posted?

well since you want to jump on the bandwagon of attacking, lets go. I quoted CNN not Fox and if you google National Gas prices the Day Obama took office you will get a different answer.

I also stated in many posts that the gov does not have much control over current gas prices. So I dont know where you get off by saying I have said such.

The person I was replying to said gas was .88 under clinton. I just stated gas as Bush was leaving was $1.95 nothing more than quoting gas prices at its time.

No. You directly connected in the first reply gas prices and who people voted for. No mention of any other factors. And your assessment of the value of the dollar was poor, and gas price changes could not be explained by it. It was a simplistic belief and blamed gas prices on the administration primarily.
