it was never under $2.00 up here, not even close. it was breifly under $3.00.

hasn't been under $2.00 here since about 2004..

In Florida it was under the national. I think $1.68 for 87oct in some parts of town. Here on the beach we are currently paying $4.20 for 87 and $4.49 for 93. Took the boat out 3 weeks ago and paid $6.86 at the marina. Thank god there was 6 of us on the boat to split gas. :)

As for gas, it was about $1.82 when Bush left office. We were also 5 trillion dollars less in the hole when Bush left office as well.

The person I was replying to said gas was .88 under clinton. I just stated gas as Bush was leaving was $1.95 nothing more than quoting gas prices at its time.

Maybe you can take up a reading comprehension class and be more of a contributing factor here on the forums.

Gas prices has to do with the value of the green back. The current admin is printing money faster than ever before causing the price the United States pays for gas to go up. The price of Fuel hinges on the value of the US Dollar. Thus has something to do with Politics when our Gov. keeps devaluing the dollar.

the value of the dollar does affect the the buying power of purchasing crude oil. Thus does affect indirectly the cost of gas over a longer period. The gov also can open the national reserves to help control oil prices for a short time.

But I like how you have left out all my other posts and target the ones that work for your purpose.

I was close. But yes Gas was super high during Bush and as stated the Gov really does not have much control over prices of fuel as talked about in many posts here in P and R.

By the way, I must admit your search skills are pretty good here man, I almost think you data log all conversations to use at a later date!
