I can't believe anyone on either side watches these things and comes online complaining about what Obama or Romney said. This shit is nothing but theater. Debates are 90% or more decided on the performance, not the substance. Scored that way, Romney won the first, Biden won the second, and Obama won the third. Forget the specifics mentioned, or lack thereof. Most of the population are 'low-information voters' regardless of party affiliation.
The fact always remains that these are two major party candidates with a shitload of money behind them. They're not going to answer tough questions in great detail. They're not going to tell the whole truth. I can't believe people get all riled up about one of the two guys. I hear it all the time from the conservatives at work who get all riled up about Obama. What is wrong with you? Every time I ask them what they hate so much about him, they go off on some tangent about something they heard Rush say that makes no sense. These people aren't reading documents and researching on their own. The two parties are different in mostly superficial ways.
IMO The system doesn't work and that's it. Maybe no system can. Time for anarchy?
did I read correctly where the o man says he wants to reenact the assault weapons ban ???
Yeah that will get you elected ......................................
Yeah that was the forced part....they thought that was the moderate in him.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

By the way, your sig quote attributed to Obama is deliberately misleading. You should include the appropriate preceding context: "Somebody invested in roads and bridges." Not sure what the point is of taking something out of context to make it sound as if he said something completely contrary to what he did say.
Oh, partisans. So useless to society, and yet so prevalent.
I liked Romney's tax plan the way it was described last night. It seemed different than I'd heard it before.
He basically indicated that above 200k income, deductions such as mortgage interest would become unavailable. Those people under that amount can pick and choose from the already existing deductions however they want as long as those deductions don't exceed 25k which seems perfectly generous. And lower rates across the board if I'm not mistaken. Plus a zero percent capital gains rate for those under 200k.
Was I hearing that right? And is this what it's always been?

You can try and spin that with waht ever context you want to put in front or behind it, still does not negate the intent of that quote!!!
This is fairly simple: quote was taken out of context to make it look like it had a totally different meaning. Not sure why you're so confused, or why this somehow is up for debate.
Also, it does not qualify as "spinning" to simply include the preceding one sentence. Apparently the points you try to make require a very delicate balance in order to work.

Thank you for my daily dosage of truth. I hate it that I don't really have the time nor attention span to actually sufficiently research this first-hand. Because of this I find myself avoiding political discussions and I find myself wanting to punch certain "political aficionados" I see on fuckin' Facebook in the face...

Honestly I built it just to have a place to sit and listen to Hotline Bling on repeat.

What he should really be suggesting is another high end tax bracket (500k-1M and up) and remove the mortgage interest deduction from that bracket.
I'm not saying 200k/yr is rich but if you do make that much, to be in the same bracket as millionaires and billionaires is insane.
Brave, you're absolutely right. We used to have far more tax brackets here in America. I believe it was Reagan who simplified it by having less of them. But I don't agree that simpler is better as illustrated by your comparison.
