Eh its not an unknown. its pretty obvious if you just open your eyes and look around rather than just believing everything you see in the media. Im blessed at 21 with a wonderful life, wealth, a gorgeous wife, can go on and on. Haven't you just re-stated the question another way? Whatever 'proof' I may offer to you can simply be replied to with 'absence of evidence is not evidence of absence'. That doesn't make it rational to believe in a deity on insufficient evidence.

There is no evidence for a deity, so I don't believe one exists. In normal circumstances saying "god does not exist" is perfectly acceptable given the unlikelihood of a random claim completely lacking evidence turning out to exist. With that said, it would maybe be impossible to completely disprove his existence because you could still repeat 'absence of evidence is not evidence of absence'.

Had a gay room mate while doing my trades training in the military. I didn't know for several months until it slipped into a conversation. He wasn't hiding it, but he also never put it out there simply for the sake of it. He did pride parades, but he did them in uniform...not a tutu and peacock feathers. You'll always have those extremely flamboyant ones, but the vast majority just want to be treated like you or I and have all the same rights in their relationships.

So to all those questions the OP asked, you don't need a gay specific response. Your kid will still be your kid, treat them however you would without bringing sexual preference into it.
