This is so sickening... To think he had to shoot them execution style for none of the children to survive is so so.... there isnt a word to describe it. I just become sadder and more angry the more I think about it. We will never know what the world lost, who in that class could have gone on to do great things. SO heartbreaking.
I dont understand the way many new schools are laid out now days. I know here the classrooms are arranged in pods where each grade is laid out in a square with one office connecting all four corners. Im not sure if this school was laid out that way or not. Makes it very easy to enter four rooms with little time for escape. How pathetic is it that securtiy has to be a concern for classroom design. We are such a flawed nation in so may ways. My wife is a highschool teacher and the storys she has are insane. In the plast three years a student has murderd another student. Twice a student has murderd their parents, and this week their was a muder sucide with two students. WTF are we doing to our kids. Holywood, Video games and poor parenting. We are doing it wrong as a society.

I would never blame anything on any video game that I've ever seen. If a kid is so retarded that he can't tell fiction from reality (movies/games from reality) hopefully the parents will be conscious about their kids lives enough to be able to put some sense in the kid before they take any violence from games and apply it in the real world.... and as I among lots of other ppl played the most violent games, watched the most violent movies at very young ages and never got anything out of it other than entertainment it is possible..
Altho' video games of today, with greater graphics and where you can torch people on fire with gas, can ofc to an extent be very harmful for weak-minded people.. and that's where the parents are again responsible to throw that game in a trash-can, as I am sure there will be plenty of warning signs before something more serious happens.
But as I think you say in-between the lines in the end of your post, parents, in general seem to be alot less responsible today than say just 20 years ago, with television and video games raising the kids, rather than the parents giving them common sense and care. And I don't think it's far fetched to say that the seemingly ever growing rate of young people (under 18 ) that become "accidental parents", is helping.ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)Be Afraid Of The FutureComment

...I do agree with the whole "reset" button theory...there's gotta be a change, and sadly not gun permit, no "gun control" is really going to make these changes.
