Our soil? Technically it was still British soil until we won the war correct? And the minutemen/militia was comprised of regular citizens to fight against the tyrant that was the British empire.

If the Founding Fathers had intended for anyone and everyone to have unlimited access to all arms, why would they use the qualifier in the first half of the sentence? The answer is that they didn't. Had they wanted what you all claim they wanted, they would have said so. But they didn't. On that note Gun stores are emptying as fast as stock arrives, and after talking to a few of my local FFLs not just my usual guy, They are being bought up by many people that never even had an interest in the AR platform, or some buying that never really had an interest owning a gun in the 1st place. After talking with these FFLs and them asking why, the answer is always the same, because I can now, might not be able to next week.

Actual if you read the post above yours and maybe ventured out of Starbucks you'd see that it's people buying guns that aren't "gun nuts" but people who are now under the impression that certain firearms and ammo maybe become hard/impossible to buy and feel our government is unable to protect their families any more. I went to a gun show last weekend to buy some ammo for my old soviet era pistols and actually ended up empty handed as the place was packed with people. I dare say most who not fit your "gun nut" mold that Fox News has brain wash you into believing. Sorry to say this whole issue is not black and white nor will one law solve any part of the violent and self destructive behavior our nation seems to possess. Mental health access is a huge issue that needs addressing and I think everyone can agree on that. America's mind set has changed drastically in the last 60 or so years. We've become a nation losing our identity. Selfish and with a "not in my back yard" mentallity. But those are separate issues for another day.

I have read many many posts about the gun control issue. I say nothing, and just read. I see arguments about what the 2a means and who it applies to and blah blah blah, anyway I in no way believe in taking away guns but i do believe in coming up with a way to prevent things that have brought all this about. You cant prevent people from being crazy but what are some real solutions that would prevent things like what has happened lately?
