Tjts1. This may not have happened if there was an armed guard in the school. We arm guards in banks, malls, court houses and office buildings. We protect the rich businesses people of our country with guns and our government people with guns but do nothing for children but feed them gun games and gor movies. Guns in schools save lives.

I was just kinda looking over this data and while this table seems incomplete to me and I havent tried to analyze it, a couple of things stand out.One,the large amount of gun crimes in states that have the most restrictive gun laws,i.e california,illinois,new york,and D.C. Two, the incredibly small amount of crimes commited with a rifle.

deterrence theory supports the claim that if we cut off thieves' hands they (specific) and others (general) will be deterred from stealing.

routine activities supports the claim that locking doors will reduce thefts by deterring people who aren't sufficiently motivated to break locks but would have stolen otherwise.

While in general I agree with ya on this (WOW I just said that). And the fact that to me a 30 round AR mag is a standard mag ( I am assuming they used an AR mag I didnt see the MSNBC clip) to me and anyone else that is in the shooting community it is anyway. Dumb ass broke DC law even after being denied permission from the cops, and put it up on a national news site for all too see. He should be subject to the maximum fines and penalties anyone of us would be subject too if we were caught with a Large capacity ammunition feeding device in DC, since they were told specifically that it would be illegal . As arbitrary and illogical as the definition is and regardless of the intentions the law was still broken. Hell you have a loaded mag in your pocket in some states an the firearm is 2 miles away you by law have a leaded weapon in your possession and your going to be subject to the penlites for it.

You have to remember things like High Capacity Mag, assault weapon, and this year the new definition of mass shooting that also makes no sense, were just arbitrarily penned into existence for the last AWB by anti gun groups and polititons that have no idea what they were talking about. Also with no consideration taken for what might actually fit into a weapon or is considered standard for a given weapon. A high Capacity mag for a Glock 17 is 30 rounds, for a FN PS90 there are 2 choices for standard mags a 30 and 50 rounder, a standard 1911 mag holds 7 or 8, a High Capacity AR mag holds 50 or 100, a M1 Garand holds 8 and is reloaded form Clips, the M1 Carbine holds 30 IIRC.

Standard and High Capacity is not a uniform thing across all weapons systems and platforms, so to try say anything over 10 rounds is a High capacity ammunition feeding device is a bit of a misnomer and silly. Not to mention hurting only 10 people before you reload is so much better, when it only takes 1-5 seconds to reload. Look at Virgina Tech, that ass hat only had 10-12 round mags, and he did way more damage than a guys with mags that hold 3 times that

That's interesting to hear. I find New Mexico a fairly accepting state. Santa fe is the worst imo. Are you in the albuquerque area?
