And what responsibility does the NRA have over this?

It does seem kind of ridiculous that a Military establishment cannot protect it's own doesn't it?

It's a facility dedicated mostly to a bunch of civilians in office buildings. It's a "military establishment" because they support the Navy projects.

You'd be surprised how many civilians there are working on most bases in this area.

Just like anything else, government facilities have differing levels of protection/security. (e.g. Pentagon vs Navy Yard)

Way to douche it up, NRA.

        To sum it up:
The NRA is not responsible for the lack of gun control in this country.
Its your own fault for being a victim.
Stop getting in the way of bullets.

It gets worse. It was done in a gun free zone in a gun free city. Thats gunfreezone^2. How could that happen? Also it was done with one of those fancy assault type ar-15 shotguns.

                        *facepalm*

Seriously, making guns harder to get to prevent mass shootings is like making cars harder to buy to prevent drunk driving. And then they proposed a gun tax? That carrys over again. Taxing guns to prevent shootings is like taxing gas to prevent DUI's. Seriously, when will gun grabbers wake up from their stupid coma.

The day federal buildings are declared gun free zones, ie not even security is carrying, is the day I will start to reason with gun grabbers. Until then, they can go ____ themselves. Hell, I'm Canadian and I will never give up my guns....ever.

PS, anyone who says NRA is responsible and profits will increase for them(I see this on Twitter all the time) clearly has no idea what exactly it is the NRA does.

what's your point? the trend of a reduction in crime has been happening for 20 years now. what does that have to do with the tens of thousands of people who die every day from gun related incidents? are we supposed to roll over and say, OK, that's fine, we can accept that?

are we supposed to be happy that violent crime is on the decline every time a mall or school is mowed down by some psycho?

also, the reason nobody is taking credit for the crime rate drop is because nobody knows why it's been declining. the most interesting theory I've seen is because leaded gasoline was banned a couple decades ago. the use of lead in gasoline correlated closely with the rate of crime (increase and decrease). lead is a well known poison, affecting all organs including especially the brain - it reduces human intelligence - and people with lower intelligence are also more likely to commit crimes.

still doesn't have anything to do with people who are off their rockers being able to go to any wal mart and buy as many guns as they want.
