Are you trying to make a connection to Christian/Catholic extremists connected with this? I'm neither, so I don't know what kind of connection you're trying to make.
Can we please stay on topic fellas.

I'm not a prepper but I do believe in the big guy upstairs.

However, let's not get into that here.

edit: Now that I think about it, I'm pretty well prepared in the event of something catastrophic. I have many large metal shipping containers at my disposal. I've modified them into underground marijuana operations, or above ground living quarters. I'm currently balls-deep in repurposing 20' Open Top containers into water filtration systems, funded by NGOs, who are then funded by larger government programs. Such a modular commodity, these shipping containers are.

Exactly. This is a topic about partial survivalism and preparation for catastrophes or unfortunate events that would otherwise hinder your current lifestyle.
As far as the bow and arrow, I had already had it before I decided for some kind of bugout preparation. It wasn't bought for that. I bought it because I wanted to practice some archery on the side but would be included as some kind of backup.

Its safe to say between my "list" of shit we have laying around, and semi dormant skill set passed to me by my depression era grandparents and great aunt and uncle while growing up on a small farm. Its going to take A LOT of feces impacting the air circulation device for us to go hungry, cold and with out..... We can be snowed in for a month and short of killing each other due to cabin fever we will be fine, we are not going to miss a meal, get cold, miss a house payment or even a night of adult beverage consumption

I've got a closet full of canned stuff - beans, chili, veggies ect.

23k btu kerosene heater, 50 gallons of kero treated with an anti-bacterial for extended storage

Containers to hold water - I don't trust water sitting for months/years at a time so I just leave them empty. If anything happens the water heater holds 80 gallons, it can be drained as necessary.

.22LR for small stuff. Somewhere between 500-1000 rounds (hey they're real cheap). Should probably get something bigger considering how many deer we have in MD. As of now I don't have anything for the more dangerous "animals".

I personally see no need to have a mobile plan - this isn't red dawn, world war z or something stupid. Fiction, not fantasy. Storms/weather is the real threat - if we actually do get invaded or something 90% of people will be fucked. In those cases preparedness will have a small role, survival will mostly boil down to luck.

I was in the Phoenix area on Friday. I drove down the 10, then the 101 and got off somewhere in Glendale to pick up another 2002 I bought. I drove past two community parks, both of which were flooded quite extensively. I saw a basketball hoop sticking out of the middle of what I thought was a pond. Nope. Basketball court.

I'm surprised nobody has said this.... One book, you all absolutely need, especially in a survival situation..

The first couple without the water on the road was at 3:30 in the morning on I-10 and 67th. The ones with the water were at 3:45. The rain continued to, if I remember correctly, about 9ish?

Eventually there was so much water my 06 pontiac grand prix was getting picked up and water started coming in.

So...prepping for disasters is ludicrous right?

                    That's what these people thought.

Yeah, we're about to get fucked. Sucks our ground doesn't soak up water and our drainage is almost non-existent.

We'll take some of that water if you're willing to share. SoCal is so dry that the trees are bribing the dogs.
