All of America depends on that pipeline." President-elect Donald Trump holds stock in the company building the disputed Dakota Access oil pipeline, and pipeline opponents warn that Trump's investments could affect any decision he makes on the $3.8 billion project as President."

The cold doesn't seem that bad to me?
I'm in Bismarck right now. Wearing base layers and regular clothes and my moto jacket (it's Army branded) and I'm fine...Leave a comment:

You drove past me, I'm a few miles off Interstate 15 about 100 miles into Idaho.
And, yeah, the winters in this region are something else entirely. Windchill is -15F right now and I'm off to do chores. But yes, this region is beautiful.Leave a comment:

Yes, it fucking is. I've been up in the Great Falls area twice (didn't get to make it to Glacier National Park, and I'm with you, if I could work 100% remote, I would very seriously consider moving there.
Although I don't know if my Oklahoma bones could handle the winters there.
The job I just took I'll be able to work from home 40-50% of the time.Leave a comment:

I hadn't at the time. Got through the rest and am in Miles City for the night. On-site tomorrow. God damn that was a lot of driving.
Minor adventures so far: I decided to get water from a couple of rivers on the way as a gift for the elders.
For Snake River, had to hop a fence and scale a small cliff. It started snowing on the climb back up.
For Beaverhead River, fence was only waist-height so no problem, but the river was mostly frozen. I didn't want to fall through so I low-crawled to the edge of the ice.
Good times!Last edited by decay; 12-22-2016, 12:46 AM.Leave a comment:

I might try to find a route through WY on the way back. I'm taking the 15 out as a symbolic gesture; it's the veterans memorial freeway.Leave a comment:
