I was referring to the injector plug. I just did the Motronic 1.3 upgrade in my car and specifically found a donor harness that had the injector plug so if there was ever a problem, it would be easier for the injectors to come out.

I have never seen any make, or model of any car that didn't have a large plug to separate the engine from the chassis. Do you know how much of a bitch that would be to assemble? Mfgr's make the car as easy as they can to mass-produce ;)

I've removed and/or refitted over 50 of e30 engines from 1982 carburated 316 to 1994 316i touring and done numerous engine swaps to different type engine and never seen any e30 without harness plug.

I wonder how you had those two unhacked non c101 plug cars.

Maybe you could post a picture of left hand side of your fuse box.

Some european cars had "M-packet" option, sport seats, sport steeringwheels and M badge on grile(not M3 badge).

I think the badge looks ok and it probaply belongs to car so why should it be removed?

In which case someone spliced it directly to the chassis wiring. No matter how professional it looks, it didn't come from the factory like that. As I said, you probably don't know where to look for the plug. It's small and doesn't exactly jump out at you.
