the plug that separates the wiring from the ECU to the motor. if you say that was at least 87 go sell your car and start with another make. i took the motor out of my 86 and put it in my 84. 86 had the wiring harness plug, 84 did not. the 85 i just bought does not either.
I have never seen any make, or model of any car that didn't have a large plug to separate the engine from the chassis. Do you know how much of a bitch that would be to assemble? Mfgr's make the car as easy as they can to mass-produce ;)Comment

Jgood, you live in PA, feel free to PM me for my number, i'll be glad to have you come look at the cars and see for yourself there is no plug that separates the motor from the body.

Some european cars had "M-packet" option, sport seats, sport steeringwheels and M badge on grile(not M3 badge).
I think the badge looks ok and it probaply belongs to car so why should it be removed?Current:

In which case someone spliced it directly to the chassis wiring. No matter how professional it looks, it didn't come from the factory like that. As I said, you probably don't know where to look for the plug. It's small and doesn't exactly jump out at you.Comment
