      -No A/C, no condenser
      -No P/S
-Cloth interior from a 318is (had Corbeau GTS's in it for a while)
-No radio, speakers are still there
      -No antenna
      -No amp
      -1/2 trunk tar removed
      -Light battery
-No heat shielding-- trans tunnel, around the exhaust, or anywhere else
      -Lighter Kosei 15x8 wheels
      -Little M42 radiator
      -Light flywheel (yeah...)
-Aluminum motor mount arms and plastic valve cover ;)

I've got a few other things done that I dont remember, but I've had the car for a long time. I still need to put in the crank windows and hole saw everything. I posted a thread a while back in the 24 valve section from when I corner weighed the car. There might be more info there.
Be proud to have a set of 15x8 K1s, I've been keeping an eye out for awhile.... nothing.

Looks like you tried to keep the car balanced, what were the final corner weights?
      paint sucks

Look for a thread by iflytii on e30tech.com, he's built a (I think CMOD E30), fiberglass doors/fenders, CF hood and trunk, fiberglass dash, lexan windows, full cage, etc.

Can't remember what his weight is though.

          were did you weigh it?
Yes, I'm sure. Yes, it has a sunroof. I weighed it at work on a set of corner weight scales. 4 other E30's were weighed the same night on the same setup-- Spec E30 car @ 2700 lbs, DE 325is @ 2780, M3 Evo @ 2805, and M62 E30 @ 2680.

The wheels were custom ordered back when the Tire Rack was still carrying K1's. They are also hub centric, which is nice. I might get rid of them when I install the 5-lug though.

Cant remember the final corner weights, but they are in the thread link posted on the first page by another member. Cross weights with me in the car were 50/50 perfect. That was with a total weight of 2608, I'm light. Front to rear was 54/46 iirc, but without me in it.

              Is this possible?

Im building a track day car and want to remove all the weight i can?

              Let me know how. Thanks
Ship me your car... Will cost about $10k, and then you'll have to repaint it (I hate to paint).

I've removed 291 lbs out of an 87 325e 4dr. I still have to lexan and gut the rear doors/sunroof and skin the hood and trunk. With the above done I should be around 400 lbs total with both front stock seats.

With all that I bet it will still weigh 2300ish. Theses are heavy bitches.

I don't see you taking another 100lbs out just by gutting the rear doors, hood and trunk. Even with lexan.

I was messing about and skinned a hood the other day, right down to the just the outer skin, no reinforcing and some speed holes in the exterior sheet :P about 7kg so whats that around 15lbs?

My doors on my 2dr e30 race car are also skinned, just the window frame, hinges and catch. I can't remember off hand the weight but it wasn't all that much that came out.

Although I know there is weight saving from switching to lexan, that glass is quite heavy.

how about an aluminum block m52 out of a z3?? that should shed a little weight, and up front too , thats the hardest place.

just take out whatever you dont need.... but make sure it is not integral parts and that you can still pass tech.... when you run out of things... well then you just add some power.

Somewhere on e30 or here an individual with a red 325i 4dr gutted and lexaned the rear doors and everything weighed came out to I believe 85 lbs. Somebody must remember the post.

If the 85 lbs is correct I figured there is at least another 15 lbs in skinning the hood/trunk and leaxaning the sunroof. We shall see............
