I can actually run my 87 325is down to fumes before it starts cutting out. The "bowl" around the pump does a pretty good job when the in-tank pump actually works. But my fuel pump dies every couple months so that's a problem all in itself, haha.
And I have registered 1.1+ g's on lateral movement, so if there was going to be a problem I would have seen it. Even on long sweepers, there isn't an issue. Oil pressure, on the other hand...
