        Interesting. Friction is good, sometimes.

Not much fun. The brakes melted down after a single 20 min session...and I was really waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswafflesfooting it. Just look at how far I am from those track-out cones! I was driving like my grandma, yet still managed to turn the brakes into pudding.

wow, this thread blew up. If you notice the date/time of my OP, you'll see how I ended up going to shade tree garage the day AFTER the tech session went on! FML. I did catch john there and talked to him for a minute.

I am excited to see everybody there. I need to get this bleeder screw/caliper issue I'm having taken care of first. Anyone have a spare e30 m3 rear driver side caliper? I may not be able to get this sucker out (after being rebuilt and sprayed :( )

Might be a stupid question but, do you just show up with $125 in your hand and you're good to go??

Where do I sign up because I didn't see any mention of it on the website.

You must register, so that they can pair you up with an instructor, and to get an idea of how much experience you have, so they can place you in the appropriate run group.

i recommend you email our registrar jamie kavelieros (jimkavo at njbmwcca dot org) and let him know your experience level. i believe the noob group is sold out but you can get on the waitlist and see if someone bails. email jamie and check in any case.

Had a bmw shop try that today. They welded a piece on there and then tried to turn it with vice grips. Snapped the 3 times, even when heating the last time.

Paypal'd for pair of rear calipers today. Going to have to rebuild and spray again. ugh.

btw, sounds like some of you may know barry stevens. He is the one solely responsible for me doing the event! Great guy and known him forever.

I have a pair of non-M3 rear calipers sitting in my basement. If they fit, you're welcome to them. I'm located in Tenafly, NJ.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately they don't fit, but good news is I did find a set and they should be shipped tomorrow. Now it's a waiting game, hopefully they dont have the same issue this one did.

                            Thanks again though :)

Just wanted to update for those that are planning to attend this event. Audi Club NJ Chapter is doing a 2 day school at NJMP-Lightning on the previous Sat/Sun. Quite a few of us are planning to make it a 3-day event by attending this as well. In case anyone is interested, the details are as follows:

"Audi Club-NJ is holding a 2 day driver school at Lightning on Sat/Sun Oct 24/25 (the weekend leading up to the Intro to Driver School event) and are looking for more students/instructors to sign up. They're offering a $50 discount to students if they sign up via the referral link below.

Students typically run four 30-minute sessions per day; also, a on-site banquet is planned. Why not make it a 3 day weekend?

We will have pre-tech on Friday night at the Country Inn in Millville from 4-8pm, along with a last-chance inspection on Saturday morning at the track from 7-8am."

link to sign up is : http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...3AC6FC274B39EE

use the code Fall2009 during checkout to get the $50 discount.
