Next time is probably next year! What's wrong with your brakes? Are you getting some kind of shudder?

Booster seats will not pass tech, nor will blocks on the pedals . . .

Audi Club will waive the ACNA membership for BMWCCA members just for this event, so make sure you don't shell out $44 to join!

yup. in fact you don't even need to be a bmw cca member.. just put 000 as the member # when you register.

Wow this is so tempting. What would also be cool is 3 straight days of driving events:

Saturday 10/24 I'm doing the Susquehanna SCCA region autocross at Hershey stadium

Sunday 10/25 I'm doing the Philly SCCA autocross at Warminster

Monday 10/26.....it would be awesome to do this school b/c I'd already have all my track gear all packed & ready to roll. The only problem is I'd have to be on my crappy Sumitumo HTR....or at least until my Hoosiers cord. They are at the end of the line. :(

Anybody else on this board doing either of the above 2 autox's?

maaaaaybe see you guys at the Monday event.

My car needs to be fine tuned, but as long as it's running rich and not lean I will be there :)

Quick question, slightly stretched tire up front ok? I know it's not ideal, but is it ok or a realllly bad idea? Have a 205/45 on a 16x8 e38 weave. Have a spare set of 215/40's to throw on tomorrow morning if I want, but they do look like rubber bands. Damn undersized tires!

                    anybody?

That's fine. I run 205/50/16 r-comps on my 16x8's (not by choice, it's all Hankook had in stock for me). Although r-comps run wider then street tires, I think you'll still be fine. That's not THAT much of a stretch.

Thanks for the heads up. Just made the executive decision before reading this that if guys are running super stretch on 9 in rears at auto x I shouldn't have a problem with mild stretch. Nice to have peace of mind tho. Thanks.

Have fun folks. I sort of have a cracked block in my car and the *%(# mechanic, after 16403 assurances, didn't get the engine swapped in time.

I got back late last night, but yes, this event coupled with the Audi 2-day event was a blast! I learned SO MUCH in the 3 days of driving.

Carrying momentum through T2-T5 was awesome! Prior to this weekend I only had done only one track day at New Hampshire, and I was really white knuckled throughout the entire ride, with a very narrow field of vision. After all this track time I really felt I learned a lot more about the car's behavior as it got loaded up, and a smidge about how throttle modulation works in a corner.

I got a ridealong with Emre at the Audi event on Sunday. He showed me a "one steering input" line through T2 and T3 that I finally was able to emulate on Monday. I didn't carry as much speed so that I had to tap the brake for T4, but it felt really natural. Thanks for the ride along!
