what type of mounts do you guys like?

i will be investing in some trans and engine mounts soon.
i had "race" urethane mounts on my 87 325is but it was 15 hp over stock, and i only auto-x'd with it.

this car is a 90 getting a turbod M30b35 (370+ tq est.) and will be tracked only.
i was looking at the solid alum mounts by UUC and wanted to hear if anyone uses them.

75d is much harder than 80a

75d is pretty close to delrin. The only thing significantly stiffer would be aluminum. I think AKG sells those too.

AKG 75d all around here too. I pulled them off after 15 track days and they still look new, they even have the circular grooves on the mounting surfaces.

                  yeah i loved the 75d's
my concern is having nearly double the tq. will my 75d still feel like 75d's or will they feel a more challenged and inadequite.
anyone using 75d or higher with high tq

Since you're tracking it only, you could go solid. If it even touches the street you'll want to shoot yourself. I suggest reinforcing the subframe if you're going to go solid with that much torque.

IE yellow poly mounts have done an awesome job on my street/track hybrid... although people advice against them because some have experienced them melting. My headers are heat wrapped just in case. engine = s52. feels awesome, don't vibrate at all. Stock e36M tranny mounts though, the IE poly mounts made my car feel like a 240hp'd blender.

edit months later. The IE mounts did melt, even with heatwrap.

Should be common knowledge to reinforce the front subframe on any e30 that sees track use, regardless of mounts/powertrain setup.

yeah im already stocked up with braces, tower reinforcements, so on.
guess ill stay with the pollys and i could always upgrade. I would rather abuse new $50 bushings than my old expensive drivetrain.

I bought some IE mounts not too long ago off a member here (got a good deal on them) and they totally eliminated all the slop...I felt them the first day I put them in, but I forget they are there now. Almost feel like stock.
