Revival from the dead!
So, I purchased my 325i with this "mod" without much though on it and now kind of want it back, mainly for balance purposes.
Would it make sense to weld one back in?
Or should I dial out the balance issues with suspension (assuming I am that good).
I could then get a diffuser to take care of the drag issue and maybe throw on a couple of matts for more deadening. Or I could dynamatt the entire thing. That would also add to weight (unfortunately higher though :( )
What are options for diffusers? I've never seen any? Only custom for e30?

It wouldn't make sense to weld one back in for balance purposes. For balancing, your best option is corner weighting.
If you care about noise, I'd lay down some Dynamat (or the cheap stuff from Lowes that's apparently just as good), then do the balance.sigpicComment
