The arguing is normal and commonplace. The personal insults by a CR Rep, aka someone who is suppose to represent the racers, is whats not normal. There's been a lot of edits in that thread. Anyways, done talking about that, sorry I brought it up.
I wonder if Bassen's car is running the same rearend setup?
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.Comment

We also run a 2.9 Stickley motor. 300 Hp at the wheels on 104 octane.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Akard's cars have massive fabrication work. Lee, Akard does not stop raving about your brakes.
Sad to see it change hands.

I discussed the matter with Mike last September. Mike had a front 355mm Stoptech kit and rear e36 M3 stockies. He went to front 355x32mm (same size as before) with Wilwood W6A and rear 310x32mm with Wilwood SL4R. We didn't go into details, but he explained that he now trusted the brakes much more than before. Meaning that the total absence of fade and the braking power would allow him to not fear anymore, when entering a corner, that his brakes would play tricks on him. Lap after lap, he would brake at the same marker and achieve the exact same result. Being able to better control his velocity made him go quicker. I understand he may have had a new motor built, but according to Mike's own words, the increased performance came from better brakes.
Also, initially, Mike insisted to get Hawk DTC 70, and I strongly suggested Wilwood's H compound. He went with H pads and was extremely satisfied. H pads are the most expensive pads I supply at around $190usd per set, yet they are $100 less than PF.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
