Anyone have pictures of Akard's rear suspension setup? I've heard it mentioned before but I've never actually seen pictures of his rear suspension setup... sadly.
Looks like Akard is selling his cars

Here's a pic of it from May 2008...looking through the other pics the calipers were red so assuming it's when it had the stoptechs.

The #03 DM car definitely utilizes a stock e36 M3 rear subframe.
It also includes E46 M3 trailing arms, UUC adjustable control arms (upper & lower), and E46 M3 axles.
The power output of the fresh 2009 Sunbelt Engine is identical to 2008...just freshened-up after I missed a shift at Barber in November 2008 and required replacement of several valves. My lap times at several tracks improved following the switch from StopTech BBK to Massive Brakes. Lee knows what he's talking about and I'm extremely pleased that I finally heeded his advice! :D:D:D
As for the nasty O'fest thread, indeed it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Toy Box Liquidation that's in progress now. :)
But, for the record, I was NOT arguing against the Chief Competition Steward's call at all...instead I was supporting it completely! I did congratulate Bryan Watts in that same thread following the Chief Competition Steward's ruling being overturned by the 3/2 vote of the special (none of the regular members could participate because they were at the event and part of the decision) Appeals Committee. ;)
If my supporting the decision of the Chief Competition Steward, as supported by the National Competition Steward, Official Event Tech Steward, and National Tech Steward means that I've done something wrong as an elected racer representative, actual witness, and participant at the event, then I guess I don't deserve respect from those that I offended who weren't involved with the situation other than reading about it online and seeing only a tiny portion of the details. :???:sigpic

Hey Mike.
Welcome to this thread. Very curious about that next project. Unless you find yourself getting old and are building a competition Lazy-Boy with flares and Stickley motor. ;)
For people who don't know, using e46 M3 control arms offer a tremendous increase in track width. Ball joints are also bigger, not to mention that the geometry of the control arms is very friendly with lowered cars. I studied e46 M3 and standards CAs as I am about to produce a spherical bearing kit for e46 M3 CAs... I have a friend working in the largest BMW dealership in Canada, cleaning the stack of used e46 M3 CAs and piling them up for me.
BTW Mike probably has the fastest e30 racecar around. Whoever will buy it will end up with a winning car... And considering the costs of building and developing a racecar, it remains a bargain at the asking price.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
