I have a Safety Devices 6 point FS if interested but shipping would be pricey

includes unique harness bar Will fit in a 4 door E30 chassis. The B pillar legs are set back behind the B pillars about 6. Must bend in the legs to fit in the car. Once in the legs bend back and fit perfectly. Rear seats can not be used. B pillar legs mount to floor pan and rear legs bolt to rear wheel arch. Harness bar allows for full seat travel. The 4 door used was a 325i E30.

Still wrapped in plastic. Asking alot less than what stable is asking but LTL shipping is not cheap.

FWIW, I have a TC Kline (Bimmerhaus new batch) rollbar in my E36. Fitment is sooooo tight to the roof/B pillars, and the entire structure is quite light for a rollbar. The large floor plates contour to the floor pan and wheel well, which is definitely a plus. They don't match perfectly though.

I got a wicked deal on mine, but if I were to do it again I'd seriously consider the Kirk bar since it's half the price of a new TCK.

I think the VSR uses TCK's jigs, that's the rumor I've heard in the past.

I recently installed a Kirk bar in my car that I picked up from another R3V member. I thought the fitment was great and it was a very easy install.

I'm curious to look at a VSR bar now to see how fitment of that is.

Kirk and Autopower are both good choices.

FWIW, my Kirk bar weighted right at 60lbs powercoated. Fitment and overall quality is very nice.

Safety Devices (UK) and Wiechers-Sport (Germany) make the nicest bolt-in bars I've seen, with Heigo (Germany) close behind. But the price of shipping any of these from Europe would be more than the bar itself.

I haven't been super impressed by the fit/finish of the bars I've seen here in the US, including Autopower and Kirk. The VSR looked interesting, but there were some weird design choices (curved backstays!?!?). I haven't seen TC Kline in an E30, but their other bars look pretty good.

i have one with the additional removable harness bar. It's a bolt in but comes with weld-in boxes to reinforce the front mounting points. Also the stuff is high quality
                    just doin track stuff :-P

With the harness provision, the Kirk bar came out about the same as the VSR (pricewise). I ordered the VSR last week. Mario at VSR asked me to take a few measurements to get the harness bar in the right position. I like that, as a nice angle for my harness is a primary concern. I'll post some pics/review when I have a chance.

Do you have any more info on how to fit a roll bar while retaining rear seats. I would like to do the same. Do you have to cut the seat?

I'd also be curious to hear about McCall's experience fitting the rear seat back in.

Looking at the photo I don't think it will be that hard to do. I have the same roll bar and it installs at the very end of where the rear seat back fits. As you can see from the photos the seat is a little deformed around where the bar goes, I think you just kind of force it back on there and no cutting is required.

I still have a few more things to do before I can put my rear seat back in but I plan to do the same thing on my car. (Not going to use the rear seat but I think it looks better than leaving it all exposed.

What is the point in keeping the back seat? Not hating, I'm just curious. It's not like anyone can sit back there anyways cause of the cage, so is it just for looks/sound deadening?

Yes I was able to put the backseat back in without having to cut anything but it required a lot of manipulation/brute force on the back piece to get it in and "bent" around the rear bars. Its still not 100% perfect at the top with regards to being flush but it's close enough.

I kept the rear seat in because for a while I was still autoxing it and for ST it's required to retain the rear seat. If it was a dedicated track toy, I wouldn't have bothered. It did end up looking pretty nice and now it's not worth taking out.
