Never had a starvation issue in either of my 318is' and both of them had the ring or whatever to prevent flex! HAHAHAH CHUMPS

It all depends on what club you are running with. With the VW clubs my '91 318is has no trouble with anyone except the occasional 911, e46 M3, or really good R32 driver.

The more general clubs where the big boy toys are present usually puts me as the low man on the totem pole.
