Thanks! The cage guy does great work! There seems like there's a lot more stuff I need to get it driving, but all I really need to find is a motor/accessories/dme etc.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, Im the fabricator building Jeffs cage. Ironically his cage is rather basic compared to what I like to build when it comes to a BMW cage, but for a spec30 car, I think this is the best compromise between weight, rigidity and safty

If you decide spec e30 isn't for you,I recommend NASA GTS ..depending on engine/weight,you could run GTS 1 or 2

GTS is what I was originally going to go with. But the 1/2 fields here in the midwest are very small, and I'd be out-gunned by P-cars that can fit 285's. The SE30 field should be around 8 cars this year at least.

Plus going with GTS 1, 2, or 3 would require a totally different cage build to be truly competitive, due to the weak e30 chassis

There's a couple of real nice LSx builds here... but I saw your thread and thought I'd say "Hi".

What accessories do you need? I might be able to source out anything you need, other then the motor, unless your looking for an "e".

Yeah, I'm looking for an m20b25. I've actually got a lead on one, so I'm going to see what kind of accessories it comes with then I'll try to find anything that's missing.

                          Weekend update-

Cage is done, and so is priming. A fresh coat of alpine white II will be laid down this next weekend. And assembly will begin!

Paint is done, and reassembly has begun! I also picked up a motor Friday so I'll be doing a little refresh on that this coming weekend.
