E46 CSL came stock with a carbon fiber roof.

This is something I'm really interested in for the future. It's gonna be a while before I'm ready to do this, but it'd be really nice to have a source in the US for it.

I personally don't see the gain for the cost/trouble. There are other areas that you can put that money/time into to make your car go faster. This kind of thing would be one of the last things i'd do to my car to chase down that 100th of a second. Then again, i'm nowhere near consistent enough for this to make any difference.

I think you should make a sunroof panel out of frp or carbon first..

Definitely liking the ideal, I wonder how much this will affect the structural integrity of the chassis. Assuming you aren't going to be adding in a roll cage that is, as well as will it cause a bit of cowl shake. I really like where this is going especially if a person is planning major bodywork/respray.

The skin should be only used on a racecar with full cage. Pictures coming shortly!
