Over the last few days, I've been studying this gentleman's drifting - I like his style and technique. I suggest you copy his approach to drifting
        as well.

So i havent heard anything about clutchkicks. Lots of them. Transfer weight then clutch kick hard. Your going to burn up your clutch but theres a reason ka 240s do an agressive clutch on any 240 that hasnt been sr'd yet. For practice 2 cones about 40-50' apart. Start with doing donuts around 1 and bringing it out wider then in tighter. Once youve got that down start figure 8s around the second cone. This will teach you to control the car in transition. Im certain if you tell them its your first time they will even allow u to set the cones up @ the track out of the way so you can practice. Assuming its not a comp day (which you shouldnt be entering with zero experience anyways its a waste of everyones time) ive nvr been to an event where the experienced guys didnt wanna help the new guys. As mentioned b4 just go have fun and learn your car.

It is a comp day but I won't be in it. They will have free runs all morning then the short comp around 3 or so and then more free runs. And I asked about clutch kicks earlier. Thats is my plan for the first method to try.

Unfortunately I don't believe there is enough room at the track to set up some cones.

i could second gear clutch kick when i had my m10, so you can deff do it in an m42. as for the e brake just adjust it well, all these dudes talking about getting a hydro, need to stop it. the stock e brake work great when setup right

The good Dual cam dudes will clutch kick 3 or 4 times on the 3/8 bank alone here @ evergreen to stay in drift.

M42s are fine for a beginner, I learned with mine and a 3.73 weldy. A 4.10 makes it easy! Just keep the revs up.
