I approve of Heeter's beer choice. Looks like a stellar weekend, can't wait for the autox/track season.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

      AAA FTW! :D

Looks like you guys had a frickin BLAST!

Those are some small rungroups! JESUS! I think there were about 20 cars in the novice run group at my driving schoool. Maybe a bit less, but those are some small groups!

Looks awesome! I can't wait to hit Spokane Raceway in June! :D

Funny you say that, is there a GTI behind you?

          Looks like fun dudes.

Nah, closer to 45 minutes - you missed the really nasty stuff in Group C - we dried it a little for you.;)

Seriously, it was like driving in icy conditions. My instructor thought at first it was decent, and that the looseness was something with my car. Then Heeter lost it right in front of me and went off-roading. Then he said "maybe the track is a little slick . . . "

The GTI behind Scott there was an instructor driving - I dunno about the TT, but the FWD and 4WD were having less issue with the slickness anyway, so Scott couldn't be blamed for being slower than those two.

On top of it, they would not let us pass between 8 and 9, which is often used as a passing zone, so it nearly a third of the track or more since the last passing zone - they simply caught up with him in that section.

I watched Scott when he was out there - he got faster and faster.

Yeah, that first run on Sunday was the only time they got by, but they just flew past in the wet. And I couldn't really put anymore power down in turn 8, as I was getting a little sideways as it was. It was funny when those guys were catching me because my instructor was going "front wheel drive...bah......quattro...bah" when one of those guys would catch up.

Yep...that instructor had just bought a brand new GTI. According to my instructor, that guy goes through new cars faster than most people go through underwear. And I overheard some of the M3 guys later on, talking about how they left their traction control on the whole time.

Indeed it was. Devon, you should have a good set of weavos with appropriate tires for something like this. Get that engine swapped rat out there and try it. You'll love it!

I'll fix that. Getting a rear headrest for next time. I'll see if I can get away with it on the front, but if not, I'll slap it on the back.

Buckeye CCA has another one in July. If your car will pass tech - come. You need not have it modded out FUH RAZE style.

You're coming to Gingerman for the DE?

Well, now that is intriguing . . . I hear its a lot like Putnam in that it is a nice wide open track with plenty of runoff if you goof.
