I think the flat face looks better with the E30.

Looks more like an old school touring car wheel.

Im going to have to say flat.
No Frills or Fuss, it works, and +1 on it looks better on the car.

Concave, IMO, is a trend that will go away like Time Attack Red stripe...
IIRC, DTM cars have flat or even Convex Rims to fit Monster Brakes.

I like the Flat......I really can't believe I'm saying that either. Like said above, it just fits the history behind the car, more DTM, more business.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, the car compliments either style.

i say concave. only because i am biased and got 275/40s to fit on mine.

seeing your car on them on the ground just makes me want to get mine done even sooner.

                1. They look better
                2. They are lighter
                3. The extra width with the flat face is negligible less weight will play more of a part then an extra 10mm of tire especially if you end up going with something like AST with the old e30
Looked at the weight difference today...

                concave w/ 245/40/17 = 41.5lbs
                flat w/ 255/40/17 = 43.8lbs

so flat and fat is 2.3lbs heavier per corner, 9.2lbs unsprung total

Spacers will add a lil weight to the concave's unsprung, yeah?

Crazy project your doing dude! What is the weight of the peach hood? BTW, I'd do the C-pillar and trunk. I know your thread mentions not wanting to make an M3 clone, but 25 years at the M3 looking perfect, the boxy flares without the C-pillar and trunk looks weird.

GRM already showed even on something as light as an early Miata wheel weight didn't make a tangible difference on the dyno or around the Auto-X course.

I can see why you're so torn.
They both look fantastic in my opinion.

Imagine yourself choosing one of the options. Imagine it's the next day and you spent the money to make it happen.
Do you regret your decision? If so, you chose wrong.

concave looks better, sounds like it is more of a hassle.

I just put the flat on my Spec E46 and I am partial to them.
