Is that an Alpina spoiler with the center part blocked off?
How did the E36 dive plates fit to the spoiler? Any modifications?
What are the brake duct plenums you're using?-Brandon

Oh snap - I didn't notice that before! Good eye.
Look good with that, and supposedly, the Alpina spoilers are (claimed) designed as functional. Be curious to see what difference it did offer with out the added dive planes and splitter.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)

Yes it is Alpina spoiler. My splitter goes as far as oil pan and it is bolted to skid plate. It is actually very sturdy, been of track couple times and it stayed intacked. As mention before conards is from e36. It is not the fit it wanted to be but I think it will work. My idead was to mount it a bit higher so I would cover tires and would re-direct drag from it. As it is mounted now, it should pick up air from splitter and blow it from tires. At least I think so. I might be wrong here. I will be at Road America this weekend, which is very fast track, and will see how it feels. My buddy told me I might have too much drag and might have to choose either splitter or conards. This is a very trick setup and it has me very intrigued. From this picture anyway, it looks as though it's very well pieced together and very functional.

^^ Wow any videos of this car in action? Would love to hear that s14 scream. What kind of power figures are you making?

I just started back with NASA in 2014 when finished the motor. Messed with cam timing over the years to find what it likes. Trying the all ducted front this year soon and tweaked the cam timing once again. This is a street car build S14 with goals for torque and 93 pump gas. Topend runs stock valves and schrick 292/284. Suspension setup is close to specE30 with additional bracing.
build is on S14power.com

I notice that most aggressive aero E30's don't run any side skirt. Is our curved rocker panel ideal?Comment
-
Any theory why most of the cars pictured in this thread have got to great lengths for front and rear aero but haven't even put on a simple side skirt?Comment
-
Lack of interest, less of a return compared to front and rear aero. I'm not sure how much side skirts are going to do on a car without a flat bottom and not making downforce from the underbody. We're making downforce (or at least less lift) on the exterior body mainly. But like I said, some garden edging and some rivits and it's done, so stay tuned.sigpicComment
