While every pound counts, 6.5lbs in the grand scheme of the car isn't very much. You are also taking the cable and battery from one of the lowest points of the car and placing the battery a few feet higher on the battery shelf in the bay. Probably best to go to a lighter battery but keep it in the stock location.

can get to, including your butt,

but less weight in a sedan= lower lap times.

My battery box is completely removed from the rust. I will have to make a battery box out of aluminum to keep it in the rear. The pc680 weights 13.2 pounds..
