    Massive side-mount adapter install

Here are some pictures of my Sparco Corsa seat install. For those of you looking for a cheaper alternative seat mounting solution to the expensive VAC adapters, here's what I got from Lee at Massive. $80 shipped for the side-mount adapters for factory E30 sliders.

These allows the use of factory sliders and allows the bucket seat to be mounted fairly low. I am also able to use my stock 3-pt. seatbelt for driving to/from track events. I also test fitted it with my helmet on and there is about 2-3" of head clearance (I'm 5'10"). It took less than an hour to install and fine-tune all the seat settings.

    Sparco Corsa

I put some washers in between the small gap.

Thanks to Lee for putting together a high-quality and low-priced product! I recommend this modification for all those looking to install a bucket seat.

The Corsa is a great seat..........youll love tracking w/ a seat if you never have!!!!!!

Lee's seat stuff( and his other stuuff) is consistently top shelf and well priced. But Im wondering how low it really is while using stock sliders?.....I run a Sparco Evo w/ VAC mounts and Im trying to get even lower......and thats w/o oe sliders in the way!!! At first it feels crazy low while driving to tracks; like you are sitting in a bucket......but the more you track her the lower youll want.
I love sitting down and just driving!

Those adapters look like the perfect solution for a passenger seat. My drivers side Corsa is on the carpet thanks to my custom sheetmetal brackets

Im sure Lee and others can add to this but........

if you make your own floor brkts you can use any seat as long as its a side mounter. Check the sparco/momo/recaro/etc websites for measurements......

these brkts dont limit you..its the floor brkts that limit you based on the widths.

I was just getting ready to make a post asking about seat brackets. Glad this was posted. I want to get a set of Corbuea FX-1 Pro's, but the ridiculous price of all the mounting stuff has stopped me.

So if I buy those seats, and those brackets, would I be able to just bolt them to the floor at the factory holes/studs?

And if I wanted sliders, I just pull them off the stock seat and mount them in between the floor and these brackets?

Anyone have a link to these brackets?

                              Hi guys

I made only small productions on those over the years and sold them, trying to gauge at the same time what people want. As you already know they allow to make any race seat install a pretty simple process while keeping the stock sliding mechanism and safety belt.

All the FIA seats have the same distance between mounting points. What can change though is the width of the seat. Simply measure your seat's width, and compare it with the distance between the mounting points on the sliders. The sidemounts can be custom installed by using shims/washers. Centering the seat with the steering wheel is also possible. Brandon bought the second version of sidemounts which is about 1/2" lower than the previous version and is narrower between the front and rear sections to allow more flex, and I guess it is as low as I can go when installing them on OEM sliders. First batch was 1/4" thick while second was 3/16".

BTW The sidemounts can also be installed without sliders, using angle irons (or alloy) bolted directly on the floor pan.

Many shots below, installed on an e30 floorpan.
