SkinnyVT mentionned in the "other thread" that the Sport kit (300mm x 32mm) only requires a bit of shaving on the calipers.

    The "other thread".

I'm going to go with the 15 x 8 TRM wheel.

I "think", not positive, they should be in the $140ish range? Not bad considering all the 15 x 8s available right now are the wrong offset and would need hub rings ($20ish) and spacers ($150-300) and the 949 and UL wheels are all $150-160 for 15 x 8.

So a direct fit for $150ish shipped would still be a good deal.

I'll respond in this thread, or start another, as soon as I get some more info for everyone.

so the 15 x 8 with ET20 would be a direct fit that wouldn't need a spacer to clear the strut? cool! i would assume the fenders would probably still need to be rolled. correct me if im wrong.

If you look at the profile of the caliper, towards the end (where they bolt it together after the brake line crosses over) the radius gets greater by like 1-2mm. I shaved that amount about 1/2" back into the caliper so it keeps the same radius now. My understanding talking to Lee in email was "that doesn't effect it at all structurally, it is also required for the Kosei's to work". The 8mm spacer is because the spokes contact the caliper otherwise, you could use a 5mm but I wanted a little extra clearance.

I also think that the Race kit and the TRM aren't a good match.

Which means that they are even more likely to cause interference with the wheel. I am hesitant to believe that the TRM wheels fit the race kit without some serious material removed from the caliper.

You're right, I only ever priced 17s from him, and he doesn't show a 15 x 8 on the site, so that was my mistake.

But I guess he'll either say yay or nay!

    If he says nay, I guess a 15 x 7 D-Force or 1.3 it is.
wasnt the leason learned from the TR wheels that 20 eta is too high? we need 18 for it to be perfect with 225.

Nonetheless, Rimstock/100+ do not have an 8" TD PR 1.3 yet, which would require them to make a brand new mold and casting. More involved than simply shaving a hub to get a different offset. But hey, if it works in a timely manner, you can count me in...
