What type of rubber do you expect to mount on 15 x 9 and how many do you think are interested in another 9" wheel. As you pointed out, the 6UL/949 already exists. Is there really a need for another one?

Any consideration for a 15x9 wheel? I'm sure there must be a market for it since 6UL/949 makes a set.Leave a comment:

Bingo. Offsets, wheel widths, and section widths get complicated when you want to cut it close. Hence why I'm so abused around here.It is true that the aluminum rim will be closer, but...
Don't forget that wether it is mounted on 7" or 8" wheel, both with the same offset, the center of the tire remains at the same place as the offset has stayed the same. The mid shoulders (where usually rubs) also remains at the sam place. It is only around the rib, that it moves.Leave a comment:

I also used to run 15" x 7.5" ACT LS et25 with 225.50.15 RA1s and never had any rubbing with the struts.

I have 225/50 RS2's that fit with lots of clearance to the strut (these 225's are wider than my 225 RA-1's), so I think that owner was smoking crack when saying he couldn't get a wider tire.Leave a comment:
