Lee, I guess I should have been more specific. I know the Kosei's fit, but has anyone tried the new 15x8 TRM wheels with your rally kit yet?
Trying to decide if I buy a set of these wheels, or just start trying to snap up more K1's as they show up...
New 15x8 wheel coming!

Hi Brendan
There are two dozen front Rally kits currently being tracked. Some with 15" x 8" Kosei K1s. The fit is tight, but it works.

That kit can be upgraded to a fully floating system for extra $$$. For track use only as it is noisier around town.

Lee, what's the verdict on your rally kit (Front and Rear) that was designed for 15's like the Kosei's. Anyone test that yet?

I made up a kit using the Dynapro radial mount calipers with the 11.75 x.81 rotors, fits OK with 2-3mm clearance to the barrel area of the wheels..Leave a comment:

A friend tested the 15" x 8" TRM wheels on a Massive Race kit. No chance. Those wheels have definitely NOT been designed with BBK clearance as a goal. To date Team Dynamic's Pro Race 2.0 remains the 15" wheels which is the most BBK friendly.Leave a comment:

As far as quality, I can only say that I have used mine at one track day (~240 track miles) on a very bumpy track, on a very grippy car. They're still straight (checked). Time will tell whether they hold up, but again, for the price, I can afford occasional replacements.
And the goddamn center caps are absolutely worthless. Mine got hot and the little tabs bent (melted) in so they wouldn't stay on the wheel after getting the brakes good and hot. Run em naked.Leave a comment:

there are a few 15x8 wheels getting around. Axiswheels have their OG-San and Oldskool, i cant commment on whether or not they will fit with your brakes thou.
And to comment on the wheels integrity, djs325 bought a few, and he has just run a few races around mount panorama (bathurst) on them, so i would say the wheels are pretty damn strong :)Leave a comment:

I am considering to order a set of 15" x 8" wheels. It looks like the only offset is et20 and that the wheels are not avalable with anything lower for flared cars. I will install them on 2002 racer with 4" flares. Anyway, as I also happen to purchase a lot of aluminum, I had a very interesting discussion with a supplier about Chinese aluminum. He reported that very often CNC shops don't like it because the finish is duller and that it has a lot of impurities. Production is also very inconsistent as one billet can be machined easily, while the next one will chunk. which leads me to question the technology behind the Chinese TRM wheels. It is still too early to hear of anyone yet. Satisfied. Unsatisfied. Strong wheels. Weak wheels. High or low quality of the aluminum. I guess only time will tell.
Any other 8" wheel available?Leave a comment:

Hi Craig.
That was for the 8" rim. Right? It looks like the barrels could have been a bit bigger and the spokes thinner or more outward.
Thanks again for sharing your expertise.
Now is time to showcase an experimental new product. Massive tits. who wants to be a beta tester?

Plus 8mm spacers to clear the spokes, but otherwise they look great.Leave a comment:

Here's a little update from Craig C. about the new 15" x 8" wheel and the e30 Race kit (11.75" x 1.25" discs and thick Superlite calipers). Thanks Craig for the pictures. Basically, the designers of that wheel could have worked a bit harder if clearing BBKs was the intention. From previous experience, the Race kit fits Team Dynamic's PR 1.0 and 2.0 without any mod, and their 1.2 with a little grinding of the tips of the calipers. I expected the wide 8" TRM wheel to be an easy fit, especially with 1/2" more wheel on each side. Well, I was to be contradicted. The Superlite calipers will require a little grinding too. Not much though. Does it make the TRM wheel a bad product? Certainly not. It still remains a great wheel, with the ideal width to fit 225 rubber. Not to mention that the price and weight are right.
So, basically, the mix of the Race kit and the 8" TRM wheel is a go, providing a little grinding is needed.
