I'd take a set for this years track. is it worth putting 15 x 8 in the rear with 15 x 7 in the front or could you go 15 x 7 all around?

        Ordered 1 15x8 today...

Will test it on my 88 325is with the 11.75" 4 piston kit I designed for it. Will also test with the 11" kit as soon as I get the brackets made...

          What's the reason?

I'v got 225/50/15 v710 tires waiting for wheels. I am looking at going with 15x8 all the way around. Suspension will be fairly stiff at around 700f/900r and -3 front camber.

I think it would fit a 7" just fine as Tire Rack measures a 225/50/15 V710 on a 7" rim (range is 6"-8"), so it would be extra weight for no reason.

It fits, but you'll get more contact patch on an 8". On the 7" it's very pulled in. I used to run 225 710s on 7" wheels before I went to 275s, and I was looking for an 8" wheel. These are light enough that you're definitely better off with the 8".

                15 x 8 is not spec e30 legal..

I can believe it, I ran 225's on a 6.5" and it was pulled in pretty bad.

                    Now I'm running 205's on an 8 and it's stretched like a dubber :(

8" wheels would be great with 225 rubber.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

depends on the tire. toyo-r888 225/50/15s would fit perfectly on 15 x 7s

unless you are required by the rules to run 7" wide wheels, 15x8's would be better.

I've run 225/45/15 hoosiers on both 7" and 8" wheels and they fit much better on the 8's

why not go wider though? The toyo would still be bulging, and would fit better on an 8

you missed the part about 15 x 8 not being spec e30 legal. also i don't think the toyo would bulge as much as the hoho.
