Let's not forget that those are supposed to be track wheels. Therefore the look plays second role behind function. If they are light, strong, offer decent clearance for BBKs and are cheap too, well, I wouldn't be bothered by 8 holes instead of 4.

Right. The picture on TR is obviously not of the 4 lug, and even at that those aren't additional lug holes. And they're track wheels, as Lee said.

        You guys kill me.

Edit: Maybe this pic will be better for you nancys. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

Agree with the above - somebody builds a light wheel with our specific wacky offsets and offers it in 7 and 8 in. widths. Sounds good to me! I remember rushing to get on the Rota group buy before these wheels and the 949s came out - at least now there are options. And $100 is a crazy good price.

          I'll probably order these tomorrow.

With that link, those are only 15x7's. Not 15x8's

I know. That version is for the Miata. It should be representative of what the 4x100 version should look like. For illustrative purposes only. Do not order your wheels from that link. No warranty is given or implied. Your mileage may vary.

15x8's to SoCal, cheapest shipping cost is from TR's Nevada location, where the wheels will be available on 01/17/09 << we will see about that.

The extra holes reduce unsprung weight! ;)

They should charge more for the extra holes.

I'm surprised the hardware is included.

The wheels depicted on Tire Rack are not "multi lug" wheels. There are holes in the hub for weight reduction purposes, similar to those found on other wheels (Spoon SW388's and their fake counterparts, Rota Slipstreams come to mind immediately). The smaller holes could not be used to mount the wheels on a different bolt pattern.

I thought they make one casting with the multi-pattern setup, then drill and finish one pattern, with the alternate pattern remaining as mere holes.
