If you have the dough, Kodiak wheels are sweet, Leaps and bounds better than Diamond...

No, just a joke about how quickly these things wear out.

I ran my set for about half this past season and the other set is used, about 15 runs on them. I should make it to half way through 2009.

REAL racing wheel. Not the prettiest, but WAY, WAY lighter than the circle steel wheels.

I guess there is Ultimate RE $$ is no object.. Then there is realistic, for those that want R compounds for around $100 per tire.
I Autocross every month and Also do track days every other month. Since its for fun I dont want to spend the $$ for a new set of tires after each event.

Does anyone know of any 17X11.5 17X11, 17X10.5 or 17X10" wheels in 5X120 that aren't boat anchors?

If anyone can also comment on their experiences using appropriate tire sizes in semis on a E30?

I need to decide on 17" wheels or 18". I REALLY want to run a 17" wheel:

Lighter, cheaper for semis but need to clear 350mm discs + calipers (yeah I know)

The semis I want to use are available in:

                        17/245/40= ~ 628mm
                        17/275/40= ~652mm diameter
                        17/315/35= ~652mm

                        18/265/30= ~616mm
                        18/285/30= ~628mm diameter
                        18/305/30= ~640mm

This wheel is available only 18" upto 12" wide :)

                        :-?

Do a google. REAL racing wheel is a brand. MUCH cheaper than other alternatives.
275 and 315 17's will both be to tall, ESPECIALLY in the front......I may eventually go to a 315/35/17 rear or 305/30/18 rear but I expect to do ALOT of sheetmetal work, and have alot of power.....A 285/30/18 is probably your best bet. Best combination of width vs height.

I've got a set of 15x10 Work Equip 03s on the way. About $700 cheaper than the Kodiaks, and light.

Well, they're on the way back. Not the offset that was advertised, and needs a spacer up front to clear the caliper. I guess I'm calling Kodiak.
