The stock M20 has more than plenty of power. I had a stock M20 for two years before I went boost.
I drove Luis Riera's (etxxz) former e30 when it was a stock M20, with coilovers + 4.10lsd, I was convinced that for a fun-basis, you do not even need any extra power. I personally suggest the 3.73lsd though as we both agreed the 4.10lsd was too short for drifting.

The real question is how long a 20-year-old M20 will survive when bouncing off its rev limiter for 30 minutes at a time. Better keep a few (dozen) rocker arms handy...Leave a comment:

There's a video of a stock M20 powered car drifting at a parking lot event. I don't recall his name. He seemed to do pretty well, I think you should be able to get sideways easily with bolt-ons. If 4A-GE powered AE86 guys can do it, so can you.Leave a comment:

Who's drifting their stock M20?
Alright, like the posts says. Who is drifting their stock M20?
Does it have enough power for a stock M20? When I say stock m20, i'm talking like no turbos and such. I am learning to drift my e30 and i'm going to use n2o to help it with a few bolt ons.
