I think you would be surprised. Dont think its a piece, because every other Nissan is. To be 100% clear, Id rather have any non boxster porsche than this. But its not some little POS.

Thats the same price as a 911 and im pretty sure a 911 would wipe the floor with this thing w/o voiding its warranty.

Uhhhh, you obviously are talking out of your asshole. Not a car to go fast in? They would kill 99.9% of vehicles on the road, and 100% of vehicles youve driven. I dont read many of these car mags, but we tend to have the ones with the GTR lying around the customer waiting rooms. They shit all over a lot of high end cars, and dont cost nearly as much.

With that said, I still wouldnt want one.

I think the owners claim is totally valid. Even though he signed that warranty contract, i believe that unless they stated exactly how many times one could turn off the VDC before voiding warranty he will have a very good case against Nissan. If this is such a serious issue... the ability to turn off the VDC should only be activated at nissan once the owner signs a contract agreeing to void the warranty right then and there. This "too many times" sounds like an easy way for Nissan to get out of upholding warranties. Not to mention that the fact is... they claim 3.4 in the 0-60 but most likely no where state that doing this (only by turning off VDC) will void warranty after some 0-60 passes. Yeah either they are gonna have to buy back the car, or fix it free of charge... not to mention civil fees. At least thats my opinion.

On edmunds.com they list the MSRP at $76,840. I'm sure between dealer mark up & the hype factor, $90K+ is what some are shelling out to get one of these things in their garage.

That kind of money will get you a loaded E92 M3 or a Porsche GT3.

I've said it before. Everything you do in this car will void its warranty. Why make the car so "great" but you cant track it to see its potential? Why cant you use its features that are built in? This car frustrates the shit out of me. But drive one and its sex.

oh and ^ btw, they renamed it officially to the GTR so people who use to call the old cars

    "skyline GTR"

would now call the new car

    "Nissan GTR"

this was a pretty smart branding move by Nissan because although all car enthusiast know that Nissan makes a Skyline, your average joe shmoe probably would not.

We are BMW/Nissan at our dealership... Nissan pretty much sucks a fat cock. We cant even get a GTR here to sell because we didnt buy Nissans $150k alignment rack. Fuck Nissan. Id take an E92 M3 over a GTR any day of the week.

I've heard the same thing elsewhere. I'm not a GT-R fan due to this kind of shenanigans.
